Varun is a medium-sized deciduous tree native to India that is also cultivated. This tree's bark is used in Ayurvedic medicine. Varun or Varuna is primarily used in AYURVEDA for people suffering from the anguishing process of kidney stones. This herb has been used since the Vedic period. 

Famous Ayurvedic herb Varun has diuretic properties. Additionally, it is an effective blood purifier that promotes homeostasis  (healthy and a stable state of a living being).
Varun's laxative properties, which assist to soften stools and encourage bowel movement, may aid to treat constipation.  Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, which lessen joint discomfort and inflammation, it is also shown to be beneficial in cases of gout. Pain and inflammation are lessened by applying a paste made from Varun leaves to the abscess-affected area.

1. Urolithiasis 
The urinary tract is where stones called urolithiasis originate. It is referred to as Mutrashmari in Ayurveda. Renal calculi, 
also known as mutrashmari, are a condition of Vata-Kapha origin that results in Sanga (obstruction) in the Mutravaha Srotas 
(urinary system). According to the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—urinary stones are categorised and treated accordingly.
 One herb that aids in breaking renal calculi and reducing the size of the stone is called varun. Its Asmaribhedan (penetration) 
quality is the reason behind this. Due of its mutral (diuretic) nature, Varun also aids in its expulsion.

 2. Infection of the urinary tract
In Ayurveda, urinary tract infection is referred to by the general word Mutrakcchra. Oozy is a mutra, and painful is a krichra. 
Dysuria and painful urination are therefore referred to as Mutrakcchra. Varun aids in reducing the burning sensation associated 
with urinary tract infections. Due to its mutral (diuretic) impact, this is the case. It boosts urine production and lessens UTI 
symptoms including a burning sensation when urinating.

3. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia 
In older men, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a prevalent source of discomfort in the lower urinary tract. BPH is compared 
to vatasthila in ayurveda. Affected Vata concentrates in this condition between the rectum and the bladder. This results in Vatashtila,
also known as BPH, which is a dense fixed solid glandular enlargement. Varun aids in balancing Vata and regulating prostate gland 
enlargement. Due to its mutral (diuretic) nature, it aids in reducing symptoms like uncomfortable or frequent urination.

4. Loss of Appetite
Varun helps to improve appetite when it is made a part of the daily diet. In Ayurveda, loss of appetite is due to Agnimandya 
(weak digestion). It is caused by an aggravation of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas leading to incomplete digestion of food. 
This causes insufficient secretion of gastric juice in the stomach resulting in loss of appetite. Varun stimulates digestion and
improves appetite. This is due to its Deepan (appetizer) property.

5. Anti-Wrinkle
Aging, dry skin, and a lack of hydration all contribute to wrinkles. It is caused by an exacerbated Vata, in accordance with Ayurveda. 
Varun's Snigdha (oily) nature aids in the management of wrinkles and enhances the moisture level of the skin. When combined with honey, 
a paste made from Varun bark can give you healthy-looking skin.

6. Wound Wecovery
Vaun reduces edoema, speeds up wound healing, and restores the skin's natural texture. Its Ropan (healing) property is the reason for this.
