White Gunja is characterized by its white hue, accompanied by a slight presence of black or grey areas. When energized through Mantra Siddha, White Gunja is believed to attract happiness, wealth, and the divine blessings of Goddess Maha Lakshmi to any space it occupies.

The process of purification renders the white Gunja capable of exerting tonic and fortifying effects on the nervous system, making it a potential remedy for paralysis. In larger doses, however, it assumes a calming effect.

Additionally, rosary peas are recognized for their libido-enhancing properties. To harness these benefits, detoxified white Gunja seeds are dried, crushed into a rough powder, and then boiled in milk. The resulting concoction, once strained, is consumed to boost virility, endurance, and sexual performance.

Benefits:

The application of rosary plant roots and leaves is effective in managing coughs, bronchitis, and throat soreness.

Detoxified white Gunja promotes nerve stimulation and reinforcement, making it useful in treating paralysis and offering calming effects at higher doses.

The aphrodisiac qualities of rosary peas are another significant benefit.

What is the traditional significance of Safed Gunja (White Ratti)?
Safed Gunja, or White Rosary Pea (Abrus Precatorius), shares many properties with the black variety. In Ayurveda, it is primarily processed and used externally for hair care and joint support, and it holds strong spiritual value in Puja rituals.

Safed Gunja is a pale or white seed form associated with Abrus precatorius, the rosary pea plant. The colour is a trade characteristic and does not turn the seed into a culinary ingredient.
No. These seeds should not be eaten, chewed, brewed or powdered for internal use because Abrus precatorius may contain the potent toxin abrin.
No. White, black and red Gunja seeds must all be treated as potentially poisonous. Colour alone cannot be used to compare toxin content or determine whether a seed is safe.
Only intact seeds should be handled cautiously for non-food traditional or craft purposes. Avoid drilling, sanding, crushing or opening them, wash hands afterwards and keep them away from the mouth and eyes.
No household method should be assumed to remove abrin reliably. Traditional processing, when referenced, requires specialist knowledge and does not justify self-use or sale as an edible seed.
Keep them in a sealed, clearly marked container away from medicines, spices, food, children and pets. For unwanted or damaged seeds, follow local hazardous-waste or poison-control guidance rather than placing loose seeds where they can be found.
