IndianJadiBooti Pipal Chaal - Peepal Bark - Pipal Chhal - Ficus religiosa
Form: Dried Raw Herb- Flower
In India, peepal, a huge evergreen tree, is considered sacred.
It not only emits oxygen, but it also has other medical effects.
Peepal root bark, stem bark, roots, leaves, and fruits are used to treat ailments such as excessive blood sugar levels, constipation, and asthma.
Peepal is useful in the treatment of skin problems.
Peepal leaf extract applied topically as an ointment promotes wound healing.
Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, it aids in the reduction of eczema-related irritation.
Because of its astringent properties, peepal bark aids in the relief of diarrhoea symptoms by constricting mucosal cells or other bodily tissues.
Because of its anti-allergic properties, dried Peepal bark powder is used to treat respiratory disorders.
Because of their laxative properties, tablets produced from powdered Peepal leaves could be used to treat constipation.
Peepal may induce allergies in some hypersensitive people, so utilise Peepal formulations only under medical supervision.
1. Constipation
Peepal is a useful herb for treating diarrhoea.
Diarrhea, also known as Atisar in Ayurveda, is caused by poor diet, contaminated water, toxins, mental tension, and Agnimandya (weak digestive fire).
All of these variables contribute to the aggravation of Vata.
Vata imbalance causes fluid to enter the gut from numerous tissues throughout the body and mix with the faeces, resulting in loose, watery motions or Diarrhea.
Due to its Kashaya (astringent) and Sangrahi (absorbent) qualities, using Peepal bark powder helps to reduce water loss from the body and makes the stool bulkier.
2. For Eczema and Itching
Can the bark of the peepal tree be used to make a tea that is effective in treating eczema and itching? In addition to this,
you can also use the ash from peepal bark leaves to soothe the afflicted areas. To make the paste, simply blend 50g of the bark's
ash with some lemon juice and ghee.
3. Menorrhagia
Menorrhagia, or severe monthly bleeding, is referred to as Raktapradar, or excessive menstrual blood secretion.
This is related to a heightened Pitta dosha.
Peepal bark balances Pitta and reduces heavy menstrual bleeding, often known as menorrhagia.
This is owing to the fact that it has Sita (cool) and Kashaya (astringent) qualities
4. Indigestion
Constipation is caused by an imbalance of the Vata and Pitta doshas.
This can be attributed to a high intake of junk food, excessive coffee or tea consumption, sleeping late at night, stress, and depression.
All of these elements irritate Vata and Pitta, resulting in constipation.
Because of its Rechana (laxative) properties, peepal leaf juice or pill can aid with constipation.
It facilitates the removal of waste materials from the large intestine.
5. For Asthma
Asthma can be treated with the bark of the peepal plant and its mature fruits. Bark and fruits should be ground separately,
and then they should be combined in equal parts. Three times a day, consume this mixture to get relief from asthma.
6. Say Goodbye to Toothache
A toothache may be relieved and the gums may be strengthened by a cold infusion or decoction of the bark. Mouth ulcers in developing
youngsters may be treated with a paste made of powdered bark and tender leaves mixed with honey.
