What is Kapoor Kachri Powder?

Kapoor Kachri Powder is made from the aromatic underground rhizome of Hedychium spicatum, although it is often traded as a root powder. It is different from edible ginger powder and from synthetic camphor.

How is Kapoor Kachri Powder commonly used in hair care?

It is used in traditional external hair and scalp mixtures for aroma, cleansing or conditioning. Mix and apply it only according to a suitable cosmetic formulation, and prevent the dry powder from entering the eyes or being inhaled.

Does Kapoor Kachri guarantee faster hair growth or stop hair loss?

No. Cosmetic use cannot guarantee new hair growth or treatment of alopecia, infection, hormonal hair loss or another scalp disorder. Sudden or patchy hair loss should be medically evaluated.

Should a patch test be done before using Kapoor Kachri externally?

Yes. Test a small prepared amount on intact skin first. Stop use if burning, swelling, rash, breathing irritation or persistent itching occurs, and avoid application to broken, infected or severely inflamed skin.
