In Ayurveda, Rasna is known as "Yukta." It is a multipurpose fragrant plant with therapeutic properties. It is a common undershrub found throughout India and neighbouring Asian nations.
Rasna is useful in the treatment of arthritis because its anti-inflammatory and analgesic qualities reduce inflammation and joint discomfort. It is also beneficial to the kidneys because of its antioxidant characteristics, which minimise oxidative stress. According to Ayurveda, drinking Rai Sanay kadha (decoction) can help with arthritis and kidney disorders.
Rasnai leaves promotes wound healing by increasing wound contractions. Because of its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, massaging joints with Rasna oil relieves pain and inflammation.
Arthritis Rheumatoid
In Ayurveda, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is known as Aamavata. Amavata is a disorder in which the Vata dosha is vitiated and Ama (toxic residues in the body due to incorrect digestion) accumulates in the joints. Amavata begins with a weak digestive fire and progresses to Ama production.
Vata transports it to various regions of the body. Instead of being absorbed by the body, this Ama accumulates in the joints. Rasna reduces Ama due to its Ushna (hot) character and Vata balancing abilities. It alleviates the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, including as joint discomfort and swelling.
