What is Sphatik or Fitkari?

Sphatik or Fitkari commonly refers to alum, often potassium aluminium sulphate. A calcined or processed Sphatik Bhasm is not automatically identical to raw alum crystals or ordinary alum powder, so the exact chemical identity and process must be stated.

Can Sphatik Bhasm be swallowed like a mineral supplement?

No. Internal use should not be inferred from the words purified, natural or bhasm. Only a licensed product specifically approved for that route should be considered, and then only under qualified professional supervision.

Is external use of alum always harmless?

No. Alum can sting or irritate skin and mucous membranes, especially when concentrated or used repeatedly. Avoid eyes, inhalation, broken skin and sensitive areas, and stop if burning, swelling or rash occurs.

Are Sphatik Bhasm, Fitkari powder and deodorant alum interchangeable?

No. They may differ in processing, particle size, additives, purity and intended route. Cosmetic, industrial, water-treatment and medicinal grades should never be substituted for one another.

What quality checks matter for Sphatik products?

Require the exact alum salt, processing method, intended grade and route, batch traceability and tests for aluminium content, acidity or alkalinity where relevant, heavy metals, arsenic, microbes and undeclared additives.

How should Sphatik Bhasm be stored?

Keep it tightly closed and dry in the original labelled container, separate from food and household chemicals. Prevent dust exposure and accidental access by children, and discard material with damaged or missing identification.
