What is Tamra Bhasm?

Tamra Bhasm is a traditionally processed Ayurvedic copper preparation made through specialised pharmaceutical procedures. It is not the same as raw copper powder, household ash, copper utensils or a standard nutritional copper supplement.

Can Tamra Bhasm be self-dosed for liver, digestion or weight loss?

No. It has a narrow safety margin and should never be used through household spoon or gram measurements. Any internal use requires a licensed product and direct supervision from a qualified Ayurvedic physician.

What can copper toxicity look like?

Excess copper exposure may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, jaundice or liver and kidney injury. New or severe symptoms after use require prompt medical assessment and disclosure of the exact product.

Who should avoid unsupervised Tamra Bhasm use?

Pregnant or breastfeeding people, children and people with liver, kidney, gastrointestinal or copper-metabolism disorders should not self-use it. All medicines and other mineral or bhasma products must be reviewed by the practitioner.

What quality evidence should a Tamra Bhasm batch provide?

Require licensed GMP manufacture, complete ingredient and process records, batch traceability and appropriate identity, particle, copper-content, free-metal, heavy-metal, arsenic, microbial and other safety testing. Traditional appearance alone is not proof of safety.

How should Tamra Bhasm be stored?

Keep it sealed in its original labelled container, protected from moisture, heat and accidental access. Never transfer it to an unlabelled jar or store it beside food, spices or supplements.
