Health benefits of Kakarsinghi:
Kakadasinghi For Cough and Cold:
Coughing is a Kapha disorder. Usually, it is the accumulation of the mucous membrane in the respiratory tract that causes coughing. Karkatshringi works on balancing the Kapha in the body and further helps expel the extra mucus accumulated in the lungs.
Zebrawoods Roots For Bronchitis:
Karkatshringi is beneficial in cough-related problems like bronchitis. In Ayurveda, this disease is referred to as Kasroga. According to the Ayurvedic principle, Kasroga occurs because of mal-digestion. Improper diet and incomplete expulsion of wastes result in the formation of Ama in the form of phlegm in the lungs and thereby cause bronchitis. The herb Karkatshringi possesses the property of Ushna and hence controls Kapha. It reduces Ama and expels excess mucus from the lungs, thus relieving symptoms of bronchitis.
Kakra Singhi (Jadd) For Anore:
Anorexia is when people have an intense fear of getting fat so they might practice drastic weight loss techniques. In Ayurveda, anorexia is called Aruchi because of an increase in Ama the toxic remains in the body due to improper digestion. This Ama blocks the gastrointestinal channels causing anorexia. Karkatshringi helps to reduce anorexia by being Ushna, or hot. This helps increase the digestive fire and reduce Ama, the prime cause of anorexia.
Kakadasinghi For Diarrhea:
Diarrhea is known as Atisar in Ayurveda. The causative factors are improper food, impure water, toxins, mental stress, and Agnimandya, or diminished digestive fire. All these factors lead to the aggravation of Vata. This aggravated Vata brings fluid from the different tissues to the intestine and mixes it with stool. It results in frequent, watery stools or diarrhea. Karkatshringi is good for controlling diarrhea because it has the Kashaya property that helps in retaining fluids in the intestine, thereby thickening the stool and hence controlling the frequency of loose motions or diarrhea.
