Lodh Pathani/ Lodhra is a small sized tree that belongs to the family Rutaceae. It grows wild in the sub-tropics and tropics, but is also cultivated for its fruits, leaves and roots in many parts of India. It is used as a medicinal herb in Ayurvedic medicine for strengthening immune system, promoting digestion and relieving pain.
It has Sothhar (anti-inflammatory) and Kashaya (astringent) properties that make it beneficial in skin problems like inflammation or acne which occurs due to an imbalance of Pitta-Kapha dosha.
