Chirmati (Ratti) Lal regarded normally as jequirity is a slender, perennial climber that twines round trees, shrubs, and hedges. It is a legume with long, pinnate-leafleted leaves. The plant is fine regarded for its seeds, which might be used as beads and in percussion instruments, and which might be poisonous due to the presence of abrin.
The seeds are also known with the name of Rosary Pea, Lal Gunja and Chinnoti. The botanical name of the seeds are Abrus Precatorius.
1. To Prevent premature greying of the Hair
Mix a tablespoon of cold-pressed coconut oil with a refined gunja seed powder and a tablespoon of amla powder. Heat the mixture in an Iron Kadai (Pan) the following day after soaking overnight. Remove the oil from the heat when it thickens and changes color, then allow it to cool to room temperature. To stop hair from going grey before its time, filter and use frequently.
2. To Promote Hair Increase
Combine one teaspoon of triphala powder, one teaspoon of bhringraj powder, and half a teaspoon of purified gunja powder. To create a herbal lepa, incorporate a few drops of coconut or sesame oil (hair package). Use 3–4 times per week. After 30 to 40 minutes, rinse off with warm water.
3. To Treat Dandruff
Mix one teaspoon of purified gunja powder with one teaspoon each of hibiscus, triphala, and neem powder to create an anti-dandruff gunja hair package. Make a paste with a few drops of coconut oil, then apply it to your hair and scalp. After one hour, wash it off with lukewarm water.
