Taking a closer look at its details, we first come to a familiar case silhouette, as seen in other V2-94 chronographs. With a case diameter of 41mm, 100-meter water resistance, tapered lugs, screw-down pushers, and a fixed bezel with an anodized black insert, it feels like a sturdy, diver-adjacent chronograph working to channel a novel take on the classic tool-watch format.
However, let me start with a few compliments link to Miss Piggy. She does have a very cool dial color, and I love how Oris opted to color the hour markers too. I am an absolute sucker for baguette-cut gems, and a diamond marker like hers is simply awesome.
The 17 pieces which mark the history of JLC and the material which started as a leaflet and gradually became a tome, prove that Jaeger-LeCoultre is happy to get the word out there but it is also happy to keep their quiet and discerning customers. I do hope, once this look-back to history is done, that we will see Jaeger take some bolder leaps forward; and shake things up with something as daring as their designs of the early and mid-20th century. They certainly have the means too.
