Gaj Pipal is a large climbing plant that grows in the sub-Himalayan region at elevations between 330-1000 m in West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, and the Andaman Islands. Scindapsus Officinalis fruit has no distinct smell or taste. The kidney-shaped seeds are elongated, smooth, shiny, and grayish-brown with an indentation, also lacking a distinct odor or flavor. Gajpippali is employed to combat intestinal parasites, alleviate dysentery, manage asthma, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain through its effects on bodily processes.

Therapeutic Applications:

Piper Chaba for cough treatment: 

A fine powder of Gaja pippali, administered in 2-4g doses with honey, is used to treat coughs, excess mucus, breathing difficulties, and sinus inflammation. For cough relief, a cold infusion of Gaja pippali (10-15 ml) is combined with honey.

Gajpeepal for digestion:

To boost digestion and manage indigestion-related fever, 2-3g of Scindapsus Officinalis powder is given with warm water or ginger extract.

Java Long Pepper for Joint Pain:
