Chakramarda is a poison and nutrient remover.
It is used to treat skin disorders and respiratory allergies.
The plant's leaves are used to cure Malaria, ringworm, chronic skin irritation, and other skin ailments.
Seed: 1 cm long, 3-4 mm thick, oblong or rhombohedral, both ends appear obliquely cut off, greenish-brown to brownish-black, smooth and lustrous.
The seed coat is made up of longitudinally elongated cells that are covered by a thick, smooth cuticle.

Seed Powder: Light brown with starch grains 8-12 in diameter and a few rosette crystals of calcium oxalate up to 49 in diameter.

Ayurvedic Action and Properties
In Ayurveda, the dried seed of Cassia tora Linn. is known as Edagaja, Dadamandam, Dadamari, Dadrughna, and Prapunnada.
Prapunnada has a pungent taste (Rasa), a pungent aftertaste (Vipaka), and a heated effect (Virya).
It's an Ushna Virya plant.
Ushna Virya, or hot potency herb, calms Vata (Wind) and Kapha (Mucus) while stimulating Pitta (Bile).
It promotes digestion, vomiting, and purging, as well as providing a sense of lightness.
It is thought to be harmful to sperm and the foetus.

Laghu (Light), Ruksha, Guna (Action) (Dry)
Ushna (Action): Virya (Heating)
Katu (after digestion changed state): Vipaka (Pungent)
It is hot in effect and pungent in both the initial and post-digestive tastes (Rasa and Vipaka) (Virya).
It balances Vata and Kapha while increasing pitta.
It has carminative, antiemetic, and thermogenic properties.
