What is Methi Dana (Fenugreek Seeds):
Methi Dana Fenugreek is an herb native to Southern Europe and Asia, but it can be found all over the world. Fenugreek has white flowers, hard yellowish-brown seeds, and a strong aroma.

Fenugreek is related to soy, so people use its fresh and dried seeds, leaves, twigs, and roots as a spice, flavoring agent, and supplement. While more research is necessary, some studies show that fenugreek may have varied health benefits.

Fenugreek has been used medicinally for thousands of years by people in both traditional Indian and Chinese systems of medicine. The seeds can be used as a spice in cooking or ground into flour for breads or other baked goods. Its leaves are often used in soups or curries.

How to use:

  • Lightly crush a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds.
  • Soak them in a cup of freshly boiled water and steep it for 1 to 3 hours (the longer you steep, higher the benefits). 
  • Strain the tea, add honey and lemon to taste and drink it hot or cold. 
    • You can add tea leaves or other herbs too for a different flavor!
